Meet Damon Tua, the barber behind the chair at Rivers Barber Studio. Known as The Chief and online as @thechiefcuts, Damon brings more than a decade of experience to his craft. For him, barbering is about more than a great cut: it’s a way to create, connect with people and help raise awareness of men’s mental health.
Damon also shares his skills with other barbers, delivering training and education around Australia and internationally. His work has earned industry recognition, including a place among the finalists for ANZ Modern Barber of the Year at the 2026 Australian Modern Barber Awards.
